First of all, Griif, thanks for the reminder. I and many others appreciate your efforts in keeping people in line.
Seth - I don't know you, either, but I heard things about you (good and bad). I can guarantee you I'm NOT a leatherass! No hard feelings, and I hope to meet you and play against you sometime.
"Suebasdan": You're new to RPT but played us a lot? How do you know our names? Can't have both. As others have pointed out, sounds bogus.
"Brent plays the best and talks the least" - I don't even know why you brought him up to begin with, and how good Brent is is always an interesting discussion, but he talks the least? I listened to him talk non-stop, as have others. Many people have posted about how Brent will talk about how he would have won if he played that hand, or how he would have played someone else's hand differently, or telling other people how they should have played. Even so, this is not to disparage Brent...this is just the truth. He even tells the same stories over and over. I was sitting at a table with JGambles and Brent is talking at another table, and Jamie says, "one million, two million, three million...", and not five seconds later Brent says, "one million, two million, three million." Jamie, I know you and I are not on good terms anymore, but that's the funniest thing I've heard you say. But I digress...
"Steve...is so full of himself" - Steve takes pride in his game; nothing wrong with that. What is wrong, Suebasdan, is calling Steve a cheater (which has since been edited out). I can say with 100% certainty that Steve is not a cheater, but, Suebasdan, if by some miracle you have proof, please come forward and present it to someone...that's what I thought.
As for me, you're wrong on both statements: I don't suck AND I don't think I'm the greatest...I'm somewhere in the middle. I offer you the same proposal that I offered Hitman27 once...and if you two happen to be one and the same, then this offer is re-opened: walk up to me, introduce yourself, state why you feel the way you do (instead of just throwing insults around), and then sit down and play cards with me. In other words, act like an adult. If you do accept this, please introduce yourself before the game starts, because then I can inform you of...well... what I've been since December, and that could change the tenor of the conversation. I play Just Sports on Saturdays and Walsh's on Wednesdays. I also play PJ Whelihan's on Mondays...where I'm the venue leader (oh, sorry, I forgot that I suck). See ya. |
