There doesn’t seem to be any standards at these events, it all depends on who is running the show that night. For instance there is no consistency with the blinds after 1 and 2, some skip certain blind levels some add them, also the times that the blinds are raised tend to differ from venue to venue.

Another inconsistency is how people get placed when more than two people go all in. One time three people went all in and two got knocked out and the director said the person that had the better hand finished ahead of the other person. Another time I went all in with two other people and two of us got knocked out, the director said the person with more chips got the better place.

Don’t get me wrong I love these games, but if you are going to have a point system than you need to have more consistency at the games.

Pat62, Thanks for the post...

The blinds are scheduled to go every half hour at every game. Sometimes, if there is a smaller crowd, they may be a little slower, or conversely, if there is a larger crowd, they may go alittle faster. we generally try to keep the games to around 4hours, so the inconsistency of the blinds are for a reason.

As far as who gets a higher position when two or more people are put put in the same hand...

The person with the higher chip count gets the higher position. All of our directors are aware of this and should award points based on that formula. This is the same formula used in tournament poker, and is what we use to manage games.

Please remember though, we are here to have fun, and if certain situations arise, we may let the table decide the best way to handle the issue.

Thanks for your feedback as we continue to provide the areas best games.
