Player Points:
Points are earned at each Riverchasers weekly game throughout the year and tracked via our Player Rankings System. Each Riverchasers Region tracks points separately, and each region holds its own TOC.
Player Rankings are based on the total number of players entered in each tournament. The top 30% of players at each venue earn ranking points with a minimum of 8 players earning points, and a maximum of 30 players earning points. For example, if there are 100 players, the top 30 spots will be ranked. The 30th finisher would receive 1 point; the top finisher would receive 30 points.
In addition, extra points are awarded to each final table based on finishing position:
First Place 5 points
Second Place 3 points
Third Place 2 points
Fourth – Eighth Place 1 points
TOC Qualification for Central PA Region and Eastern PA Region, 2009:
RPT will hold a TOC at the end of each trimester during the year. Points earned at every venue in the region throughout the qualifying period count towards the Total Ranking. The four hundred (400) players (including ties) in each region with the highest Total Ranking will be invited to their respective TOC.
Special raffles may be held for door prizes at each TOC offering players with more earned points throughout the Trimester a greater chance at winning.
A specified amount of players will also qualify for the Trimester Grand Championship Tournament. The amount of players will be announced prior to each Trimester TOC.
TOC Qualification for Central PA Region and Eastern PA Region, 2010:
RPT will hold a TOC at the end of each trimester during the year. Points earned at every venue in the region throughout the qualifying period count towards the Total Ranking. The three hundred (300) players (including ties) in each region with the highest Total Ranking will be invited to their respective TOC ONLY IF ranked player #300 has earned a minimum of 70 points. If ranked player #300 has not earned a minimum of 70 points, then only the players with 70 points or more will be qualified for the TOC.
Special raffles may be held for door prizes at each TOC offering players with more earned points throughout the Trimester a greater chance at winning.
A specified amount of players will also qualify for the Trimester Grand Championship Tournament. The amount of players will be announced prior to each Trimester TOC.
TOC Qualification for New Jersey Region:
RPT will hold a TOC at the end of each trimester during the year. The top ten (10) players at each New Jersey venue which hosts a minimum of 10 weeks of events will be invited to the New Jersey Region TOC. A venue that does not host at least 10 weeks worth of events will qualify a percentage of the players based on the amount of weeks the venue participated. Example: 3 weeks = top 3 players, 5 weeks = top 5 players, etc...
The top players at the New Jersey Region TOC will be invited to the Trimester Grand Championship Tournament. The amount of players will be announced prior to each Trimester TOC.
Trimester Grand Championship Tournament:
The qualified players from the Regional TOC's are invited to participate in our Grand Championship Tournament. This tournament is typically hosted at an Atlantic City, NJ casino with professional dealers. The winner receives our Grand Championship Prize which is announced during each Trimester.
