Code of Conduct
Overview
Tournament hosts and TAPS will attempt to maintain a pleasant environment for all players and members, but are not responsible for the conduct of any player. We have established a code of conduct, poker etiquette, and basic rules for all games and events. Failure to follow the code of conduct may deny you participation into our events.
Players are expected to conduct themselves in a proper and professional manner at all times. The goal of Riverchasers is to manage a poker league and entertain its players. Players should keep that in mind as we truly encourage proper poker strategies to be used by participants, we do not condone or promote verbal deception or aggression tactics by any player whatsoever. In the end, players have the right to play their cards as they wish, as long as it does not impede the proper flow of the event or create a conflict between other players in the game or with the relationship between the venue and Riverchasers.
By participating in Riverchasers hosted events, all players agree to abide by the following rules. Live events hosted at restaurants and bars on our schedule are open to the public. Some club-style venues may required a membership as part of their liquor license and bylaws.
Failure to abide by the rules may result in a warning, a suspension, or a permanent ban at the discretion of Riverchasers management.

POKER and TABLE ETIQUETTE
The following is expected of our players at each event:
· Be at the table to post your blinds and deal when it is your turn.
· View your surroundings to see if an absent player is on his/her way to the table or is in the vicinity to play his/her hand before it is mucked.
· Be patient while a player is speaking with a server or bartender while placing an order.
· Clearly communicate your betting actions to the table to remove confusion.
· Place your large denominated chips in front of your chip stacks for players to view.
The following table actions are improper, and grounds for warning, removal, or suspension:
· Deliberately acting out of turn.
· Deliberately splashing chips into the pot.
· Verbally agreeing to check a hand down when a third player is all-in (this is a form of collusion).
· Revealing the contents of a folded hand before the betting is complete. Do not divulge contents of a hand during a deal, even to someone not in the pot, so you do not leave any possibility of the information being transmitted to an active player.
· Needlessly stalling the action of a game.
· Stacking chips in a manner that interferes with dealing or viewing cards.
· Making statements or taking action that could unfairly influence the course of play, whether or not the offender is involved in the pot.
· Using a cell phone at the table which delays the action of the hand.
· Rabbit Hunting, aka “running it out”, once a hand is completed is to be kept to a minimum. In the spirit of fast and friendly play, we ask that you do not ask to Rabbit Hunt more than once per event. In all requests, the final decision will be up to the winner of the hand.
· Berating or harassing a player based on their playing style or the luck of the cards.
The following is expected of our players to help protect the integrity of the event and keep free poker entertaining and enjoyable:
· Report suspicious activity at the table or suspected cheating to the tournament host
· Announcing irregularities in the action
· Making new players feel welcome
· Helping educate new players on basic rules in a polite and friendly manner
We appreciate our players and we understand that in any competition there may be a conflict with another player. All players are expected to act professional and courteous at all times, under all circumstances.
